Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), is the tallest building in the world at 828 m. Opened in January 2010, its construction took more than five years.

More than the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa is an unprecedented example of international cooperation, a symbolic beacon of progress and an emblem of the new dynamic and prosperous Middle East. It is also tangible proof of Dubai’s growing role in a changing world.

The name Burj (tower) Khalifa comes from the previous president of the United Arab Emirates, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Burj Al Arab

At a height of 321 m, 12 m higher than the Shard in London and 60 m lower than the Empire State Building in New York, the Burj Al Arab is one of the most luxurious hotels built in Asia on an artificial island 280 m from the coast of Dubai (it is connected to the mainland by a private curved bridge). This building is the tallest one used exclusively as a hotel; it has the highest atrium in the world, which rises to over 180 m and is flanked by imposing golden columns.

“Burj Al Arab” is an Arabic name and means “Tower of the Arabs”. Construction of the Burj Al Arab began in 1994 and lasted until December 1999 (when it opened). It was built to resemble the sail of a dhow, a type of Arabian ship and its construction cost $650 million.

Skydive Dubai

The Palm Drop Zone is the first skydiving site in Dubai. Created in 2010, it offers a simply magnificent view of the city. You can skydive above the palm tree from a height of 13,000 feet to get a stunning panoramic view of the Arabian Gulf, Atlantis Hotel, Dubai Marina and of course, the magnificent palm tree.

Skydive Dubai, launched by H.E. Nasser Al Neyadi welcomes skydiving enthusiasts from across the UAE, as well as dozens of tourists. Skydive Dubai welcomes approved skydivers, as well as uninitiated people who can perform a tandem skydive.

Those who wish to learn to skydive solo can also do so at the drop zone. Desert Flight School offers formation, hang glider, canopy and wing skydiving coaching.

Skydive Dubai operates from two locations. The Palm DZ, its premium dropzone is located within the boundaries of the emirate, while the Desert DZ is located approximately 35 km from the city.

Ski Dubai

Opened in 2005, Ski Dubai was the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East; it has become one of the most surprising attractions in the UAE, as well as one of the most popular among snow sports enthusiasts and tourists.

Located in the Mall of the Emirates, Ski Dubai is the largest indoor ski slope in the world. The dimensions of the slope speak for themselves: 280 feet high, 260 feet wide and up to 1,300 feet long. This infrastructure offers five different courses of varying difficulty, additional activities in a snow park, as well as ski and snowboard lessons, all year round.

Deep Dive Dubai

As a diver, In the deepest swimming pool in the world, called “Deep Dive Dubai”, take the opportunity to explore a sunken city almost 60 meters underwater (i.e. 15 meters deeper than any other pool). This swimming pool contains a volume of water equivalent to six Olympic swimming pools, or 14.6 million liters.

Divers can venture into the different themed rooms decorated with flourishing vegetation, “play billiards, table football, or even chess underwater.” The water temperature is maintained at 30°C, enough to satisfy swimmers for several hours of exploration.
